A death in the family

There has been a death in the family. Belle has been in our family since Natalie's third birthday in Orem Utah. She was a joyful and active kitten and has always been a very beautiful cat. She moved with us to Indiana where she suffered depression for a while, never venturing out for a whole year while construction proceeded around our new home. Her inactivity gained her the "fat cat" designation that we loved to call her. She weighed in at 18 lbs at one time in her life. By the time we moved to Alberta she had been on a diet for some time and had brought her weight down to 15 lbs.
Last month after our trip to Utah she started to rapidly lose weight and refused to eat. Last Wednesday August 15th she passed peacefully away under the futon in Natalie's room. We buried her at the farm under a nanking cherry bush with a marble headstone and flowers on her grave. She will be dearly missed.

I always enjoyed seeing Belle at your house. Glad you have such fond memories of her. We all had a good cry when Snoopy (our bunny)died.

Sorry to hear that! I have to say though, I wish my cat story went the same way. You got to see her through to the very end. You are very lucky! Its never fun to lose a pet friend though. I am sure she is very happy in cat heaven, wherever that may be.

Hey guys, I'm sorry to hear about Belle. I remember when you brought her home as a kitten. She had some good chompers on her.

We know your cat has passed-on but isn't it time to move on? No updates to the blog? Isn't Richard getting married?
