MISSION CALL!

It finally arrived. Richard recieved his call in the mail on Friday March 24 th. Of course he was at the work at the time so we had to wait to open it till he got home at 9:30. Then we had to wait till Murray got home from Houston at 11:oo. So, surrounded by friends, family, and on several phones he read the call to serve in the California Arcadia Mission Spanish speaking Mission! He is to report at the MTC on April 26th at 12:30. THAT'S ONLY ONE MONTH AWAY! We are very excited that he will be serving the Lord in sunny California. Some things we have found out about the Arcadia mission so far: -it's very small geographically (about 15 by 30 miles) -it includes East LA and Pasendina- there are lots of people from other countries (not many white people in some areas). We (the girls) will go with him to send him off in the MTC (Murray will be in Sask.) And that's it.

I hope they call me on a mission!

It has finally happened, my papers are in, and I will be going on a mission (keep your fingers crossed). No, I don't have my call yet, but my papers have been in for two weeks today, so my mission call should be here in the next couple of weeks. Submitting my mission papers has felt like a sequel to Lemony Snicket's a Series of Unfortunate Events, but I guess that's what you get when working on the Lord's timetable. I'm so excited to be serving as a representative of the Lord, these last days are pretty much the best ever.

We've been taking predictions of where I'll get called to:

Richard - China, French speaking
Nadine - New Zealand
Krista - Buenes Aires, Argentina
Natalie - Dominican Republic
Anna - Canada
Murray - Mongolia
Kathleen - France
Cynthia - California

and our favorite...

Gordon - Nothing can go wrongo, Richard's in the Congo

Feel free to make predictions, winner can take me out to dinner
