CATWOMAN!

Anna recently went to a superhero themed birthday party. Love those "ears". Posted by Picasa

Now we have three teenagers in the family!

Krista's birthday was last weekend. We had two parties. One with her friends on Saturday and a family party on Sunday (her actual birthday).

The brand new teenager blows out the candles. We served her breakfast in bed at 8:20 am, exactly when she was born. Posted by Picasa

Krista's them was music. The song on the cake is supposed to be "Happy Birthday to You" but those of you who read music will note that the notes aren't quite right. That's what you get when you use amatuer who can't read music. Posted by Picasa

Keeping with Krista's theme we played DDR (Dance Dance Revelution). Here is Natalie, Murray and Anna trying to keep with the steps. Posted by Picasa

Activities in Nauvoo

We had a great time being part of the pioneer activites in Nauvoo. There is so much to do that it would have been nice to spend time there but as we did it in only one day we made the most of the time. We drove there in the morning, saw sights in the afternoon, watched the pageant in the evening and then drove home that night arriving at 3:30 am. Fun trip!

Murray and Anna did some crafts too. Anna took this picture of Murray with their creation. Posted by Picasa

We participated in the activities before the pageant with some of the cast memebers. This lady played Brigham young's wife. Posted by Picasa

Transportation in Nauvoo

We took a one day trip to Nauvoo to see the pageant. We found there was many ways to travel in Nauvoo. The pageant was great and we highly reccommend making the trip. It was well worth it!

Mountaineer Murray

I've decided that I might be a Low after all, despite my first 17 years of not exercising or playing sports. Dad and I hiked Timpanogos when he was here in Utah two weekends ago. We only lost the trail to glaciers and darkness 8 or 9 times. It was definitely amazing, both the scenery and the fact that we made it.

What Timp normally looks like this time of year, and what we climbed:

At one point we had to brace ourselves between the cliff face and the top of a glacier and move sideways over a 15 feet deep crevice. The greatest part was when we called Mom at 6:00 am from the hut at the top as the sun rose over the Mountains. It was gorgeous.
